This worthy tree has a cracked and peeling bark, Brown-grey dark and large branches that grow near the ground, a little to the image of a pine.

Australian pine has a remarkable needle foliage. Young trees develop a pyramidal shape and ascending branches ; the Crown opens with maturity.

The male flowers grow new branches and small flowers females people in bouquets throughout the branches. The fertilized female flowers develop into cones that open in the fall to release the seeds.

Hardiness zone : -32°C mini in winters. Use a standard soil mixed with a bit of sand. Water during the growing seasons and during the winter months moderately. Very resistant to drought and likes well-drained soils. Once established, it can survive long periods of drought, but growth will be slower.

Germination : seed do need no pretreatment. Seed 1 cm deep in your soil. Keep the soil moist, not soggy. Germination occurs in a few months, this may be more.
