Akebia quinata is a beautiful climbing flower, very fragrant and very abundant flowering.
The flowers appear late winter and early spring, and are a purple red colour. They have a smell of vanilla.
The fruits of Akebia quinata are elongated and purple purplish, and can measure up to 10 cm long. They are edible, but are most valued for their decorative qualities that taste. An ideal plant for pergolas and terraces with the advantage to resist freezing.
Seedling period : February to April.
Germination : 4-6 weeks, but long enough germination.
